About the Film
What it is:
Dissection of a Rose is an award-winning, stylized, experimental short film which ventures into the beautifully vivid, bizarre and at times psychedelic world of a young girl trapped in the confines of her mind.
It incorporates live-action, 2D animation and stop motion effects through the lens of soft-focus 70's melodrama.
Isolated within a curiously secluded garden, a reclusive and lonely girl is forced to contemplate both her humanity and sanity when her captive garden fly begins to plead for his freedom at all costs.
